We're happy to announce our new bulletin board where you can post messages to each other and to UA planners. Suggest or comment on events, organize trips on your own, arrange car-pooling, anything you want to post. NOTE: This is a public board, meaning that anyone on the internet can read your messages, so post with caution and do not put any personal info in your message that you don't want the world to see. You must acquire a free account to post on the board but anyone can read the messages.

Marineland kayak trip - New date TBA
Time: TBA. Cost: $50.00 Includes Marineland admission ticket
This trip was postponed due to weather conditions. Here is a description of the trip:

This is the perfect central location to explore the Jordon and Mellon Island Sites that are part of Faver-Dykes State Park, The Princess Place Preseve, and the Pellicer Creek Aquatic Preserve. This biologically rich area has been described as "the cornerstone behind the nomination of the Matanzas River as the 25th National Estuarine Research Reserve of the United States". This is where the Matanzas Inlet, one of the only natural inlets on the east coast of Florida, collides with one of the most pristine, undeveloped streams in Florida, The Pellicer Creek. We are excited to offer comprehensive ecological and cultural kayak tours in this beautiful coastal system. The price includes admission into the Marineland Dolphin Conservation Center, guided tour, and photos taken by your naturalist guide! Don't miss this opportunity to visit the dolphins of Marineland, including several calves born this past year, and also the chance to witness their natural habitat in the Matanzas River. All from the low-impact, unique perspective of a kayak!

We launch for University of Florida's Whitney Lab just across the street for the Marineland Dolphin Conservation Center and the trip takes about 2.5 hours Email info@untamedadventures.org for reservations.
National Estuary Day - Saturday 9/25
Time: TBA
As we are charter members of this wonderful research center, and have a brick in the front sidewalk going to the entrance, we attend this event every year. There will be lots of activities, and hikes to the intracoastal, food and fun. Bring a friend and come with us. More details to follow. Email info@untamedadventures.org for more information.
Sponsor an exotic animal (Ongoing collection)
We are collecting donations to sponsor an exotic animal at the St. Augustine Wild Reserve. It cost $25 per animal and we plan to sponsor as many as we can with your help. We have already sponsored five. Please bring some spare change to throw into the donation jar when you attend an event. You can check out the website at www.staugustinewildreserve.org and see if there is an animal you would like to sponsor. Email info@untamedadventures.org for information.
 H.A.W.K.E. Fundraiser (Ongoing benefit)
Help us raise much-needed funds for Humane Association of Wildlife Care & Education. H.A.W.K.E. is the only wildlife rehab facility in Northeast Florida. You can help support it by purchasing a one-of-a-kind necklace of 5 different  critters. They are just $10.00 each and all proceeds go directly to H.A.W.K.E. The necklaces are availble only at our events.  Click here to view the items online. Email info@untamedadventures.org for information.
